Hola Y'all!!

Remember we're shifting gears this week only and voting for the Bahamas shelter to win them a weekly prize!!! Here's the new instructions!!

Just go to http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com and click on the "Shelter Challenge" tab on the right. Then click on BAHAMAS for the country and click search. Click on Humane Society of Grand Bahamas and click vote!!! Then type in the letters/numbers that appear to confirm your vote!! That's all there is to it!! The next time you vote there should be a message just below the search thingy that says, "This is the shelter you voted for during your last visit. If it says Lighthouse then all you gotta do is click VOTE!! Ya don't have to search for it anymore after the first time!!

We're all doin' pretty good here at Lighthouse this morning!! Mom had to make up the bed around me 'cause I wanted to sleep in. I did finally consent to gettin' up 'cause I know me and Mom have to get downstairs and start doin' all the feeding, medicating and clinic stuff.
Bein' Boss Dog is tough and our work is really never done. sigh.......................

We've got a new volunteer comin' today. The volunteer is supposed to be here around 10:00. We can't wait to meet him/her. We sure hope they're as good as our last volunteer, Kristina!!!! She was a JEWELL!!!!

Don Gato is doing good and Mom is letting him get out of the crate and move around some each day now. He is using his leg and putting weight on it but it is still painful so he goes a few feet and then he lays down for a while.
He purrs when Mom pets him and raises his chin for chin scratches and he LOVES to have his belly rubbed!!!!

Miss Mirri is still her cute self and is getting real spoiled. If Mom doesn't go out and pet her every few minutes she barks to tell Mom it's TIME!!!
The lady who rescued her from the highway came to see her yesterday. She was so glad to see little Mirri doing so well!!!
She held Mirri while Mom got Don Gato out of his crate and Mirri just settled into her arms and went to sleep.
That's the only time she is still is when someone is holding her and loving her.

If we can help Bahamas to win a weekly prize then we can maybe win the international prize. They can still win the GRAND prize but it would put us in a position to win the international!!
